We are currently seeking an M&A Director to join our deal execution team. This role is 100% remote, but may require some traveling.
Position Summary:
As an M&A Director at Partner One, you will play a pivotal role in driving the entire M&A lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to transaction close. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience in executing transactions and the ability to independently lead deals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership
- Manage a team of analysts
- Transaction Leadership:
- Independently lead M&A transactions from origination to close.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owner-operators and investment bankers.
- Conduct early-stage discussions with business owners and senior executives to qualify targets for fit and deal probability.
- Offer Structuring & Negotiation:
- Prepare and negotiate indicative offers, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), ensuring alignment with Partner One’s strategic goals.
- Due Diligence:
- Lead and coordinate the due diligence process across multiple internal teams, ensuring all risks and opportunities are thoroughly evaluated.
Qualifications:
- Professional Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity with at least 3 years in software M&A.
- Demonstrated expertise in executing M&A transactions with a proven track record of success.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on relationship building and report writing.
- Flexibility:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to variable hours.
- Willingness to travel as needed to facilitate transaction execution.
