NAC is currently seeking a Electrical Project Coordinator to join our ROPEC Electrical Reliability project in Ottawa, ON. 
 
Position Summary: 
 
The Electrical Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the various Electrical and Commissioning project teams, providing assistance to our current and future Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects.
 

Job Description:

  • Assist with electrical coordination for all aspects of the project.
  • Incorporate addendums, RFI’s, CRX’s etc. into drawings and specifications as required.
  • Review of estimate and project scope to provide bill of material and project Equipment Control Logs.
  • Assist in project change management tasks such as reviewing scope change and prepare Bill of materials complete with costs.
  • Prepare electrical and commissioning schedule data for integration to overall project schedules
  • Coordinate Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control system activities through construction and commissioning phases 
  • Be knowledgeable in all facets of the electrical start up and commissioning activities   (i.e. Scope, drawings, specifications, planning, expediting, resource scheduling).
  • Prepare and manage creation of RFI’s and submittals.
  • Assist the Commissioning Manager in development of commissioning and testing procedures, checklists, and reports. 
  • Obtain field experience for career growth by assisting trade superintendents and project management in the project field, as required
  • Act as a liaison and facilitate effective communication between key internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of NAC’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures as per the roles and responsibilities within the HSE Manual. 

Requirements:

  • Strong construction electrical/instrumentation/commissioning background
  • Proficient with drawings and specifications
  • Ability to procure materials and track costs
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Knowledge in motor control, fire alarm, HVAC and PLCs
