Lumentum is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Embedded Linux Software Designer to drive innovation and excellence in the design and development of next-generation optical communication products. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the definition and development of software architectures for pioneering optical communication products. 

  • Innovate and collaborate with a team of industry experts, bringing your unique insights to shape the future of optical networks. 

  • Design, develop, and support embedded software on robust Linux-based platforms. 

  • Be at the forefront of solving complex challenges, ensuring product reliability and performance. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Expertise and Passion: You have 4+ years of hands-on experience with embedded C/C++ or GoLang and thrive in multi-threaded software design. 

  • Problem Solver: Your ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues is unmatched. 

  • Tech Enthusiast: Proficiency with tools and technologies like Git, Subversion, and exposure to Redis, Docker, OpenConfig, YANG, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, gNMI, SNMP, and NETCONF make you stand out. 

  • Collaborative Leader: Your communication skills and team-player attitude inspire others and foster innovation. 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience in embedded Linux software development is a significant advantage.
