YOUR ROLE

As an Engineering Intern on our team, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, and certification of safety-critical featured products used by our Aerospace, Industrial and Automotive customers.  As a team member, you will be involved with all aspects of the development of features, certification artifacts and defects fixing. You will work closely with the product management team and system architects to understand and implement the requested features.

The development team is responsible for developing features and certification of VxWorks/HVP on platforms like ARM, IA etc. next generation of applications. Your contribution helps drive the development of world-class System Software for architected hardware and software platforms.

In your daily job you will:

  • Helping to develop SW modules for VxWorks as well as HVP helping Wind River to grow in its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
  • Take the initiative to improve features and processes.
  • Contribute ideas for product improvements and iterations.
  • Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • C/C++ programming skills would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of embedded systems and familiarity in building and developing SW modules
  • Driver and board-level system software development and integration.
  • Completed Operating System courses in your university program.
  • Pursuing BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong in RTOS Fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
  • Experience in scripting language e.g., Python
  • Knowledge of SW development in corporate environment will be an asset
  • Knowledge of development tools will be an edge
  • Virtualization knowledge is an asset
