THE OPPORTUNITY: 
As an Engineering Program Manager, you would work closely with Sales and assigned member clients, providing guidance on technical and IP strategy while ensuring alignment with internal capabilities. You would act as a key liaison between clients and internal Operations teams, translating client needs into actionable plans. Once projects are secured, you would oversee execution, provide regular client updates, ensure timely delivery, and manage project close-out, including invoicing.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO 
Defining and Quoting New Work

  • Develop a deep understanding of internal technical capabilities and intellectual property matters to effectively communicate them to potential clients.
  • Provide technical and IP strategy recommendations to clients.
  • Interpret client requests to assess feasibility and alignment with Operations teams, defining the scope of work accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to develop suitable project plans and budgets that meet client needs.
  • Work with Sales to establish pricing, finalize proposals, and address client questions or concerns.

Member Client Program Management

  • Oversee and monitor the progress and delivery of projects and programs for assigned clients.
  • Meet with Operations management and technical teams to ensure work aligns with the Statement of Work (SOW) and client expectations.
  • Provide regular written or verbal project updates to clients and facilitate update meetings as needed.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet SOW requirements and are of high quality before being presented to clients.
  • Address client questions and concerns during and after project execution, engaging technical teams only when necessary.

Member Client Administration

  • Manage internal client-related requirements, including parts requests, revenue recognition activities, and invoicing.

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or related program, with 3-5 years of progressively responsible client management experience
  • Good understanding of the microelectronics and/or consumer electronics industries
  • Knowledge of Project Management practices/methodologies; PMP certification is an asset
  • Intellectual property experience and patent knowledge an asset
  • The ability to interface well with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong client focus with active listening skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt and re-prioritise in a fast-paced environment
