As a Trader within High Touch Trading in Canada, you will bring strong analytical skills and work closely with institutional, private bank, and private equity clients. You will execute equity trades, deliver market insight and trading strategies, and act as a trusted advisor while ensuring efficient, compliant execution across the trade lifecycle.
 

Job Responsibilities

Trade Execution & Market Insight

• You will execute equity trades for institutional, private bank, and private equity clients.
• You will provide market insights and trading strategies to clients.
• You will monitor market conditions and trends to inform trading decisions.

Client Relationships & Collaboration

• You will develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional, private bank, and private equity clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
• You will collaborate with sales, research, and other trading teams.
• You will prepare and present trade performance reports to clients and senior management.

Efficiency, Compliance & Development

• You will standardize and streamline operational processes throughout the lifecycle of trades to enhance efficiency and consistency, utilizing advanced trading technologies and platforms.
• You will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• You will mentor and develop junior traders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity trading or finance roles within markets, with a proven track record in a high touch environment.
• Understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and market microstructure.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
 

• Advanced degree (MBA, CFA).
