Job Description

As an Engineering Intern in our Buildings Engineering Sector, you'll have the opportunity to learn from our experts about what it takes to manage projects in transportation and infrastructure, renewable energy, and various building related projects to provide project delivery services including leading and integrating into large multidisciplinary teams.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Support project managers in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and budgets. 
  • Help in developing asset management plans and processes as part of capital and operating budgets  
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules and timelines using project management software. 
  • Coordinate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and project plans. 
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and presentations. 
  • Support the delivery manager on a variety of business transformation projects including asset management consultancy, training material, and assessment projects.  
  • Conduct research and gather data for project planning and analysis. 
  • Communicate with project team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project requirements are met. 
  • Help organize and manage project-related events, such as site visits and client meetings. Assist with implementing redline markups from engineers 
  • Develop reports and visual presentations based on asset inputs and able to share trends and results with stakeholders. 
  • Assist with coordination with multidisciplinary engineering staff 
  • Coordinate with the wider Canadian team to deliver the complete lifecycle of asset management transformation projects, from sourcing to project closure. 
  • Participate in occasional site visits and to document ongoing construction 
     

Qualifications

  • Student, presently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably civil, mechanical, electrical or buildings engineering)
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems 
  • A desire to learn and continually develop 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Interest in working and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Valid driver’s licence 

 
The salary for this position ranges from $23.75 to $29.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
