Does this sound like something you are up for? That’s why we need you to complete our team. This role is located at CFB Trenton, ON (AMTC).
This Role:
- As detailed in the quality documents, to achieve required availability and reliability on flight training devices to maintain contracted Training Availability Window.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex problems spanning a wide range of technologies, including, but not limited to hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and avionics systems.
- Perform the duties of the Field Team Leader with complete autonomy.
- Provide technical guidance/mentor to Maintenance Team to ensure that equipment remains at peak performance to support internal and external customers.
- Identify and track recurring and potential system problems and confer with technical experts and colleagues to formulate plans to solve problems, to maintain systems at peak performance to support internal and external customers during testing, maintenance, and repair.
- Recommend and develop new procedures for testing, maintenance, and repair.
- Assist the GL OTSP in the development, coordination, and supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist the GL OTSP to create work schedules, ensuring that an adequate roster is always available to maintain contracted Training Availability Window.
- Replace the GL OTSP in his/her absence.
- Carry out duties as required by the GL OTSP.
- Coordinate all aspects of Training Device testing including Simulators and Computer Aided Training Devices.
- Develop test plans and procedures, integration and testing, coordinate deficiency rectification with management team.
- Report test results and provide recommendations as part of the change management and continuous improvement processes.
- Other duties as required in support of the full operation of the C130J OTSP facility.
- Be available to work shift work
- Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance
Your profile:
- Minimum 2 years experience with CC130J simulators.
- Minimum 5 years of simulator experience.
- Ability to lead a team of seven technicians daily.
- Success in providing customer service.
- Must be able to handle sensitive situations with tact.
- Dynamic team player.
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of aircraft terminology or simulation devices.
- Able to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to aviation.
- Superior troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of operating electronic testing equipment and software diagnostic utilities.
