What You’ll Do:

This role reports to the Manager of FP&A – Planning & Integration, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Senior Financial Analyst on the team, who will serve as a peer coach.

  • Collaborate with a Senior Analyst to produce insightful management reports and forecasts that facilitate decision-making at various levels within the organization.

  • Take responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on key profitability metrics.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Canadian Tire Financial Services' strategy and financial results.

  • Assist in preparing forecast presentations for the Canadian Tire Bank executive team.

 

What You Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a university degree or college diploma in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Math, or another related field.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or the ability to learn these tools on the job).

  • Ability to learn the Hyperion Planning System and HFM accounting system.

  • Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently (including 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week virtually)

  • Outcome-focused critical thinkers with the ability to analyze financial results and draw meaningful insights from financial information.

  • Collaborative team players who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups.

  • Equipped with strong technical skills, capable of conducting simple to moderately difficult financial analyses, and adept at learning new financial software and systems with ease.

Our typical hiring range is between $23.00 and $37.00 CAD Hourly. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
