As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team and help bring clarity, insight, and financial rigor to a fast-scaling, service-based business.
Role OverviewWe are hiring a high-level finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and a leadership mindset.
This role is designed for someone who can operate beyond bookkeeping—owning financial analysis, reporting, controls, and high-level oversight, while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, confident, and able to operate independently, with the potential to grow into a more senior finance leadership role over time.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Receivable (AR): Track customer invoices, follow up on collections (including Retainer/DSP ad spend), reconcile balances, and resolve Merlink disputes.
- Payment Processing: Update ChargeOver with new payments (wires/ACH), perform daily audits, recharge clients manually, and monitor Stripe and Mercury accounts daily.
- Payroll & Commissions: Verify and process payroll, handle contractor payments, and process sales and affiliate commissions.
- Month-End Close & Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts/ledgers, investigate mismatched transactions, and maintain the % sheet and Expenses Audit sheet.
- Systems & Platform Management: Maintain accounting systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, ChargeOver), update ClickUp onboarding/offboarding boards, and update the Master working sheet.
- Project Management Tools: Using ClickUp for onboarding/offboarding boards.
- Payment Platforms: Specific daily monitoring of Stripe and Mercury.
- Subscription Billing: Managing data and manual recharges in ChargeOver.
- Client Operations & Communication: Reply to client Slack/email messages, participate in onboarding catch-up meetings, and manage new subscriptions and quotes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Build cash flow projections, perform Budget vs. Actual (BVA) analysis, provide daily DSP ad spend updates, and create CSV reports/financial dashboards.
- Operational Controls & Clean-Up: Implement internal controls, resolve backlogs, create sustainable processes, and submit BM–Creative requests.
- Forecasting & Financial Analysis (The Strategy)
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Build and maintain rolling cash flow projections to ensure operational stability and support investment decisions.
- Budget vs. Actual (BVA) Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis to identify trends, overages, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Revenue Modeling: Analyze service-based margins and client profitability to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Strategic Reporting: Translate raw accounting data into clear financial dashboards that highlight KPIs and growth levers.
- Process Automation: Identify opportunities to use tools like Zapier or Hubspot to streamline financial data entry and reporting.
- Leadership Advisory: Partner directly with the CEO and operations team to provide financial perspective on hiring, pricing, and long-term goals.
RequirementsRequired
- 3+ years of experience in finance, financial analysis, or financial management
- Experience in a B2B agency, professional services, or service-based business strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and pattern recognition
- Comfort with financial reporting, controls, and high-level financial oversight
- Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of workstreams
- Confident communicator who can explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Leadership mindset with the ambition to grow into increased responsibility
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills
- Exposure to scaling businesses or high-growth environments
- Experience partnering directly with founders or senior leadership
