Summary:
R
eporting to the Sr. FP&A Manager, the Financial Analyst supports financial planning and performance reporting across the business. The role is responsible for customer profitability analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, month-end reporting and variance analysis, and maintaining monthly customer P&L reporting. The position also develops financial models and reporting tools to support business analysis and improve financial processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, including analysis across key areas such as revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), transformation/operations, logistics, and SG&A.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of VA (Value Analysis - customer and product profitability) models for new project, customer, and item bids, including cost assumptions, margin analysis, and financial scenario evaluation to support commercial decision-making.
  • Prepare month-end financial reporting and variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and prior year performance, including analysis of sales variances and purchase price variance (PPV).
  • Produce and maintain monthly customer P&L reporting, including supporting analysis and reports to ensure accurate allocation of costs and clear visibility into customer profitability, and provide analysis of month-over-month variances and key drivers of change.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Improve and streamline financial reporting processes, dashboards, and data analysis to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
  • Support pricing initiatives from analysis through execution, including performing pricing impact analysis, preparing presentation materials, and coordinating system updates to ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as required by finance leadership and senior management.
  • Provide back up support for other team members when required
  • Adhering to all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety etc) at all times.
  • Other related duties and assigned.
Key Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Accounting or Finance is required, CPA or MBA is preferred
  • +5 years experience in manufacturing, preferably CPG industry,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advance Excel is a must and experience with ERP system and BI
  • Results-oriented change agent through demonstrated initiative and drive.
  • Agility, curiosity and willingness to bring impactful change.
  • Strong analytical ability and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Must be adept at working independently and in team atmosphere with excellent time management.

Compensation Range:

CAN$ 95,000 - 100,000
