#CareersThatKickSaas! The TrueContext Finance team is looking to add a savvy Financial Controller to the team. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, keen to learn, has the ability to solve problems while at the same time gaining valuable experience. The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the full revenue process including billing, collections, revenue recognition (IFRS 15), management reports and external financial reports (IFRS).

This person will be involved in a number of different areas and will evolve as the organization and the person grows in the role. You will be involved in monthly reporting, filing of sales taxes along with strengthening the internal control environment and ensuring compliance with company policies and other regulations. The FC should also have a good understanding of Revenue recognition under IFRS along with any other accounting matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the VP of Finance to ensure a robust financial control reporting framework and that company policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Review, oversight, supervision and management of the Revenue/Accounts Receivable function
  • Prepare memo’s for revenue recognition (IFRS) and other accounting matters
  • Maintain company’s revenue file which provides details on monthly revenue, billing, deferred revenue and unbilled revenue for each customer.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of subledgers (Maxio/Salesforce) to GL
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of ARR to GL
  • Prepare A/R collections forecast.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting under IFRS and reports in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the VP of Finance in establishing and monitoring financial operations policies to ensure compliance with IFRS other regulatory guidelines & practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of Company forecasts
  • Provide backup support for the VP of Finance

  • Proven people leadership experience
