SUMMARY: The Affinity Group Foodservice Sales Representative is responsible for calling on independent restaurant operations and demonstrating products as well as presenting new and existing menu items.  A culinary background would be a definite asset for this role.   We provide an extensive training program for eager candidates.  CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE OTTAWA AREA

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calling on independent restaurant operations and demonstrating product, develop and present new & existing menu items
  • Maximize sales by encouraging restaurants to use products represented
  • Timely submission of critical reports
  • Achieve sales projections and targets
  • Participate at industry trade shows
  • Cook food products and put menu combinations together to aid in the sale process
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Have a valid driver’s license and own car
  • Be results-oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Work well with teams and have strong motivational skills
  • A positive, professional, and proactive attitude
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and oral with a strong command of the English language
  • Have excellent computer skills at an intermediate level
  • Have planning and organizational skills
  • Have Culinary experience
  • Have the drive to succeed and a great attitude
  • College or University preferred
  • Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills
