Job Description:

We're looking for talented software developers to join Altera's Quartus Device Modeling organization. If you're ever wanted to work on the boundary of software and hardware, this is the place for you!

Our work consists of a variety of highly technical challenges related to creating model abstractions for Altera FPGAs to ensure customers can efficiently implement and productize their designs.

Our work spans a variety of areas including data abstraction models, ASIC/FPGA timing modeling, complex SW algorithm development, runtime/memory optimization, statistical analysis flows, and more. We're also continuously trying to find new ways to integrate modern AI/ML tools and capabilities into our workflows.

Our compensation is designed to reflect the Canadian labour market. The actual salary offered may vary based on several factors, including the position’s location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, training, and job-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, we offer performance-based incentive opportunities that reward both individual contributions and overall company success.​ 

Estimated Salary Range: $100K – $115K CAD​

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field

  • Working experience in modern C++

  • Proficient in Python

  • Able to work independently and cross-functionally across teams

Other good skills/knowledge to have:

  • Knowledge of FPGAs, ASIC timing, and/or EDA flows

  • Understanding of AI/ML tools and workflows

  • Experience with Verilog and/or VHDL
