Department Overview
We’re hiring a Frontend Developer to play a key role in maintaining and improving a portfolio of websites across multiple brands. You’ll take ownership of enhancements and optimizations, ensuring best-in-class SEO, analytics, and performance.
Job Description
  • Build and maintain websites and landing pages using React and Next.js with a headless CMS (Contentful or Contentstack).

  • Develop modular UI components and consume structured content from the headless CMS to support flexible, content-driven page builds.

  • Ensure all templates and components meet standards for responsiveness, accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Work with marketing, design, SEO, and stakeholders to scope front-end requirements and deliver changes aligned with business goals.

  • Implement and validate analytics, pixels, tags, forms, and event tracking in the front end.

  • Document component usage, content-model integration, and front-end patterns for consistency and handoff.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years building and maintaining websites and/or landing pages in a professional environment.

  • Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript, and React (hooks, component design, state management).

  • Next.js experience: App Router or Pages Router, SSG/SSR/ISR, and front-end performance optimization.

  • Headless CMS experience with Contentful and/or Contentstack: consuming content via APIs, using preview, and understanding content modeling from a front-end perspective.

  • Experience integrating third-party scripts and front-end APIs (analytics, forms, tracking) with clear error handling and loading states.

  • Comfortable with Git, branching, and working within a staging-to-production workflow.

  • Solid grasp of technical SEO in the UI (metadata, schema markup, sitemap/robots considerations) and Core Web Vitals.

  • Accessibility-first mindset and QA across devices and browsers; clear communication and prioritization.

Nice To Have:

  • Deeper Contentful/Contentstack experience: custom UI for preview, or advanced content structures.

  • Experience with multi-site, multi-brand, or multi-language (non–auto-translate) front-end implementations.

  • Familiarity with design systems/component libraries and Figma workflows.

  • Exposure to other headless or Jamstack tools (e.g. Sanity, Strapi, Gatsby).

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 CAD
