About Us

WitnessAI enables safe and effective adoption of enterprise AI, through security and governance guardrails for public and private LLMs. The WitnessAI Secure AI Enablement Platform provides visibility of employee AI use, control of that use via AI-oriented policy, and protection of that use via data and topic security. We're looking for a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to help build and maintain our web applications. If you’re passionate about development and enjoy working on high-performance, scalable systems, we’d love to have you on our team.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who thrives at the intersection of product and engineering. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping user experiences by building scalable, high-quality applications that drive real customer impact. We're looking for someone who approaches problems with a product mindset, has a deep understanding of the modern JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem, and is passionate about owning features from concept to delivery.

We primarily build in full-stack TypeScript (react-router formally known as remix), so experience across the stack is a strong plus—especially when it comes to designing and working with APIs. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, but we also value engineers who can independently lead and drive initiatives across the stack when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Create captivating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript compositions that transform designs into user-friendly web experiences.

  • Information Architecture: make it easy for users to comprehend complicated data with simple dashboards

  • Browser Compatibility: Ensure seamless performance and functionality across different browsers and devices.

  • Collaborative Innovation: Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and other creative minds to bring design visions to life.

  • Performance Enhancement: Optimize web applications for speed and efficiency, minimizing loading times and resource usage.

  • Responsive Design: Develop responsive designs that adapt smoothly to various screen sizes and orientations.

  • Bug Detective: Identify and resolve front-end issues through thorough testing and debugging.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation to help the team navigate your front-end architecture.

  • Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in front-end development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

  • Expertise in responsive web design and mobile-first development.

  • Experience with Node.js or similar interpreted languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, PHP)

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to creating exceptional user experiences.

  • Experience or willingness to learn full stack frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with user interface design and usability principles.

  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

  • Experience working in fast-paced startups or high-growth product teams.

  • Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs is a plus.

  • Proficiency in performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, code splitting).

  • Knowledge of Golang and building microservices is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid work environment

  • Competitive salary

  • Health, dental and vision insurance

  • 401(k) plan

  • Opportunities for professional development and growth

  • Generous vacation policy

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000
