As a Software Developer, you will be deeply involved in supporting different teams. You will play a key role in software development and strategic initiatives. The projects you will work on include applications to help track our packages in various worldwide locations, using advanced technology to detect information on packages when labels cannot be scanned, and assisting our operations with their day-to-day tasks. You will collaborate with different teams and stakeholders and can contribute directly to the company's growth and product development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize work and get things done with a high level of effectiveness.
  • Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code.
  • Analyze, review and modify existing software solutions to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements.
  • Develop tests and processes to ensure software stability and correctness.
  • Work closely with product management team to ensure we're building the best products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or another technical related field (an asset).
  • 5+ years of software development experience using general-purpose programming language (e.g. Perl, Java, PHP, Python, or Node.js)
  • Experience with software development practices such as source control, code reviews, unit testing, debugging
  • Working experience with agile delivery teams
  • Ability and interest to learn other programming languages as needed
  • Experience developing and managing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience developing in a service-oriented architecture (SOA), using micro-services
  • Experience developing in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Proven track record of shipping software
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
