Overview

Chubb is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position and a compelling opportunity to join a global, growing, financially stable and successful company.  As an industry leader, Chubb is an employer of choice for skilled technology professionals aspiring to develop a meaningful career in a fast-paced, diverse company with offices in most major cities in the world.

We're revolutionizing software delivery by combining world-class engineering talent with AI coding tools. We need senior engineers who can architect, build, and ship production-grade solutions at 5-10x traditional velocity—while maintaining enterprise security, scalability, and reliability standards.

You'll work in high-performing micro squads running 1-week sprints, delivering complete features from API design to production deployment. This role demands technical depth, architectural thinking, and mastery of AI-augmented development workflows.

We're not looking for prompt engineers—we're looking for seasoned backend engineers who use AI as a precision tool to amplify their expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing web applications developed using Angular.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using best practices.

  • Integrate with RESTful APIs to connect the front-end interface with backend services.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are current and competitive.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and address any issues.

  • Participate in agile/scrum development cycles and contribute to planning and estimation processes.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Practical experience using GenAI (Claude/CoPilot/Gemini) with a good understanding of subagents, MCP and controls; used to support the design, development, testing.

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Front End Engineer with a focus on Angular.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Experience with state management libraries

  • Familiarity with Angular CLI and other development tools.

  • Understanding of responsive design principles and best practices for mobile-first development.

  • Experience with unit testing frameworks

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly.

What Makes This Role Different

Not Your Typical Engineering Job:

  • We're not a feature factory—you'll own outcomes, not just outputs
  • Sprint cycles are genuinely 1 week, not "2-week sprints that become 4"
  • AI tools are mandatory, not optional—we expect you to use them effectively
  • We measure success by working software, not story points

Fast-Paced Environment:

  • High trust, high autonomy, high expectations
  • Rapid feedback loops with real users
  • Continuous deployment
  • Learning culture—we experiment, fail fast, and improve

Growth Opportunities:

  • Work with cutting-edge AI coding tools before they're mainstream
  • Build expertise in AI-augmented software engineering
  • Influence engineering practices and tooling decisions
  • Learn from polyglot engineers across the stack

Our team makes the difference, every time. For this reason, we offer in return!

We offer hybrid working model, explicit, structured career development, a competitive salary package, annual bonus, private medical cover, monthly allowance for lunch, continuous learning experiences, work in a fun, lively environment with mentoring from our groundbreaking senior mentors.

Integrity. Client Focus. Respect. Excellence. Teamwork

Our core values instruct how we live and work. We’re an ethical and honest company that’s wholly committed to its clients. A business that’s engaged in mutual trust and respect for its employees and partners. A place where colleagues perform at the highest levels. And a working environment that’s collaborative and encouraging.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Chubb, we consider our people our chief competitive advantage and as such we treat colleagues, candidates, clients, and business partners with equality, fairness and respect, regardless of their age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, marital status or family circumstances. We earnestly strive to achieve an environment where all colleagues feel comfortable to perform to their full potential and are recognized for their contributions.

  • Many voices, One Chubb!
