Position Overview

We are seeking a full stack engineer to join our team of smart and driven developers who are building real-world solutions for the construction industry. Our experiences power construction teams in the office, trailer and field, enabling them to understand and execute on projects with a level of speed, safety and predictability which was never possible in pure paper workflows.
 
On the Product Enablement team, we own a number of backend APIs and frontend applications within the Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud) Admin Console, powering user workflows such as license management, subscriptions, and entitlements. Our customers include both Forma customers using these workflows as well as other teams at Autodesk who rely on our APIs to make decisions around access levels and permissions. Our work serves as a foundation that enables our customers to access and utilize a wide range of products within the Forma suite.

Responsibilities

  • Building, shipping, and maintaining features on our products in a cloud environment (AWS)

  • Understanding product and business requirements as a foundation for making technical decisions

  • Maintaining a high standard of code quality by promoting team best practices around testing, code reviews, and design patterns

  • Translating complex design and product requirements into discrete engineering tasks with level of effort estimates alongside teammates

  • Communicating status updates, identifying potential blockers, and resolving the root cause of slowdowns with the rest of the team

  • Participating in the on-call rotation to support the systems in the production environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field

  • 1+ years of software development experience

  • Experience or willingness to learn our Javascript + Typescript tech stack

  • Experience building scalable modern web applications

  • Ability to define and interact with RESTful APIs

  • Experience in writing production-level code with automated tests that is resilient and scalable

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially around technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong sense of ownership

  • Experience with modern Javascript technologies such as React and node.js

  • Product engineering mindset and customer empathy to provide the right technical solution to real users’ problems

  • Willingness to travel to occasional team off-sites, conferences, and other work events (approximately 1-2 weeks per year)

Au sein de l'équipe Product Enablement, nous gérons un certain nombre d'API backend et d'applications frontend au sein de la console d'administration Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud), qui alimentent les workflows des utilisateurs tels que la gestion des licences, les abonnements et les droits d'accès.

Responsabilités

  • Développer, déployer et maintenir les fonctionnalités de nos produits dans un environnement cloud (AWS)

  • Maintenir un niveau élevé de qualité du code en promouvant les meilleures pratiques de l'équipe en matière de tests, de revues de code et de modèles de conception

  • Communiquer les mises à jour de statut, identifier les obstacles potentiels et résoudre la cause profonde des ralentissements avec le reste de l'équipe

  • Participer à la rotation des astreintes pour assurer le support des systèmes en environnement de production

Qualifications minimales

  • Licence ou diplôme supérieur dans un domaine technique

  • Au moins 1 an d’expérience en développement logiciel

  • Expérience ou volonté d’apprendre notre pile technologique Javascript + Typescript

  • Expérience dans la création d’applications web modernes et évolutives

  • Capacité à définir et à interagir avec des API RESTful

  • Expérience dans l’écriture de code de niveau production avec des tests automatisés, résilient et évolutif

  • Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale, notamment autour des concepts techniques

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Un sens aigu des responsabilités

  • Expérience avec les technologies JavaScript modernes telles que React et Node.js

  • Esprit d'ingénierie produit et empathie envers les clients pour fournir la solution technique adaptée aux problèmes réels des utilisateurs

  • Disponibilité pour voyager à l'occasion pour des réunions hors site de l'équipe, des conférences et d'autres événements professionnels (environ 1 à 2 semaines par an)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $88,000 and $128,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
