The Multinational Corporate Banking team manages J.P. Morgan's relationships with Canadian subsidiaries of multinational corporate clients. The team coordinates coverage strategy with headquarter bankers, payments sales managers and product partners around the world. We are currently recruiting for a corporate banker to be based in Toronto, whose primary objective is to drive sales across cash management/payments, trade, risk management/derivatives, investment and credit with Canada based subsidiaries of Commercial Banking clients mainly headquartered in the United States and operating across different industries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and expand relationships with key decision makers of corporate clients in North America; Originate dialogue at both headquarter and local levels, educating clients on JPMorgan's corporate banking capabilities for Canadian subsidiaries of these clients
- Partner with headquarter corporate bankers, payments sales managers and product partners to identify new business opportunities and collaborate on deal execution; Escalate the needs of clients with local and regional product partners to drive product development ideas
- Foster strong partnerships with US banking teams and product partners and conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with J.P. Morgan's array of corporate banking products across payments, trade, escrow, derivatives, capital markets, credit, risk management, asset management
- Serve as a Canada subject matter expert supporting the growth of profitable relationships within the Commercial Bank.
- You will be a corporate banker capable of independent activity and will have a firm understanding of Canadian cash management products coupled with strong technical credit expertise and transaction execution skills.
- Performance will be measured by your effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to calling activity, proposal and revenue generation, pipeline momentum, relationship profitability, portfolio development and pricing strategy.
- Seek opportunities to cross sell into every relationship and anticipate the future needs of the client by possessing strong creative solution and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex problems into concise conclusions
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience. Though each of the following is not a requirement, a compelling combination is a must:
- 10+ years of successful client sales and relationships management focused on development and delivery of complex Canadian Payments solutions
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian banking products and services across payments, credit, trade finance and foreign exchange
- Executive presence and a proven ability to build and develop client relationships
- Results oriented track record of independently managing complex multi-product opportunities
- Credit trained preferred with experience financing businesses and screening transactions with credit or other risk issues.

- Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
