At Dyson we are encouraged to think differently, challenge convention and be unafraid to make mistakes. We’re creative, collaborative, practical and enthusiastic. But most of all we’re hugely passionate about what we do.

About the Role

The Global Supply Planning role ensures capacity availability to fulfil demand by translating midterm and long-term demand forecasts into granular short-term production schedules that also align with near-term requirements. The role helps balance required and available capacity to improve sales supportability, service levels, working capital, and logistics costs while proactively flagging issues that may affect production schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the translation of supply network strategy and product portfolio requirements into a master production schedule, enabling consistent execution of the supply plan.

  • Partner with the BU, Manufacturing Engineering, and Outsourced Operations teams to help maintain appropriate coverage and improve production schedule accuracy.

  • Monitor and highlight potential capacity constraints and bottlenecks across the mid-term to long-term horizon.

  • Convert the master production plan into detailed production schedules, supporting accurate fulfilment of customer requirements.

  • Support and align production schedule adjustments when demand or supply deviates from plan.

  • Coordinate with CM/JDM partners and the Procurement team to align schedules with capacity and material availability.

  • Identify and help address material shortages or delays that could impact production timelines.

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Outsourced Operations teams to review recurring schedule adherence issues and support updates to capacity assumptions as needed.

  • Use planning tools, technology, and analytics to conduct what-if analyses and support feasible and efficient production schedules.

  • Measure, analyse root causes, and report key supply planning metrics; monitor progress against key performance indicators.

  • Track and report production performance (e.g., schedule adherence, lead times, and output), including basic root-cause investigation.

  • Communicate receipt plans, priorities, and schedule changes clearly to relevant stakeholders (Markets, Leadership team)

About You
  • Proven experience in capacity planning, constraint management, and scenario-based supply planning within an outsourced manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in longer-term planning within a multinational environment, including the use of planning parameters.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting production network optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong drive to address new challenges.

  • Adaptable and resilient, responding constructively to changing demands and priorities.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Supply chain/operations certifications are a plus (e.g., APICS, CPIM, Lean).

  • Experience with SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Ariba is advantageous.
