Key purpose of the role

The Global Senior Designer will work closely with the Global Design Manager and Global Design Senior Manager to implement our brand via our established templates as well as through custom solutions to maintain brand consistency and generate new ideas across print and digital collateral materials by achieving visually creative and optimal solutions supporting our firm’s marketing needs which consist of brochures, proposals, advertisements, campaigns, initiatives, events and digital marketing such as apps and websites.

This role also requires project and team management skills - which include managing client expectations and timelines as well as guiding and reviewing the designers’ work to ensure high quality results that promote the firm’s marketing and business goals. In addition to this, supporting the firm globally will require some flexibility with working hours.

Role and responsibilities

·       Works with internal clients to produce high quality products that meet their requirements.

·       Acts as brand ambassador across all channels and advises the internal clients on the correct application of the firm's visual identity guidelines.

·       Works closely within the global brand team to support the design process and to deliver project requests from conception to production on tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service and quality product.

·       Support requests in Adobe Creative Cloud; and at times in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

·       Adheres to the established brand guidelines, workflow and team management process.

·       Works with Global Senior Brand Managers to support project requests in different regions and time zones to meet deadlines and priorities workload to ensure timely delivery.

·       Adheres to all privacy, bar association, SLA or anti-spam control and any other legal requirements affecting marketing-related materials.

·       Management responsibilities (including art direction) for a team of intermediate and junior designers.

·       Facilitating knowledge sharing sessions and training to promote a culture of knowledge sharing and learning within the team.

·       Conducting regular knowledge audits and assessments to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement in knowledge management processes.

·       Supports the entire global creative team with daily requests from all regions.

Requirements

·         An undergraduate or a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.

·         Fluent in both written and verbal English.

·         4+ years’ design experience with a very strong design portfolio (print, digital).

·         Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac environment.

·         Experience of template development and layout design in PowerPoint is preferred.

·         Previous experience working in-house in a corporate or professional services environment preferred.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

·         Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining complex brand guidelines and design systems.

·         Delivers successful creative solutions from concept through completion.

·         Ability to extract a creative brief from clients and to provide clear direction to junior designers.

·         Technical knowledge of print and online production processes.

·         Excellent communication skills to establish reliable working relationships.

·         True global team player.

·         Great leadership and organizational skills in order to effectively manage daily workload, designers and deadlines.

·         Polite and confident in manner and ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in an organisational setting.

·         Shows resilience in overcoming obstacles to deliver what is required.

·         Ability to be an ambassador for Dentons, being professional in outlook, attitude and appearance.

·         Experience reviewing work and providing feedback to designers.
