What you'll be doing

As a member of the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) team, you’ll lead efforts to create and manage analytical reporting across the RESL portfolio. As a group product manager, you’ll work with the Senior Director, RESL Growth and the rest of the RESL team to develop reporting and dashboards for strategically important KPIs. A successful candidate in this role will have an in-depth domain knowledge around RESL and experience in analytics.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Data Analysis – Incorporate insights from data, stay ahead of market and client trends. As one of the key-members of the analytics team, you’ll be responsible for crafting reporting that will drive the strategic direction of the RESL portfolio. You should have at least 3-years experience in previous data roles, with familiarity around using key analytical solutions such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, Python, etc.

  • Real Estate Secured Lending – Experienced in RESL, Mortgages are a complicated product with continuously evolving regulatory requirements. As a key leader on the RESL team, you should have at least 5-years’ experience in mortgage product. Additionally, you should be well versed on the regulatory requirements around mortgages.

  • Strategic and Analytical – Anticipate and prepare for changes in the market is the first step to staying ahead of our competitors. With the evolving regulatory and interest rate environment it is critical to get ahead of any potential opportunities (or issue!) as it may take many months to implement.

  • Collaboration – Build relationships, Banking is a team sport. As a key-member of the RESL team, you’ll work collaboratively across the team to discover analytical-needs and create meaningful insights.

  • Storytelling – Convince stakeholders that a certain way forward is the right direction for CIBC. As an effective storyteller, you should be comfortable building presentations and presenting to a wide-ranging audience whether it is team members, partners, or executives.
