Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Perform moisture analysis on material used in dryer
  • Report/update moisture content and resin lot information
  • Ensure that all machines are running with the maximum permissible regrind percentages
  • Maintain resin silo board Lot # as well as material type
  • Maintain all material lines and vacuum hose
  • Maintain material in dryers and ensure material is dried before it is used
  • Trouble shoot and resolve issues with the Material Handling System
  • Start-up and shut down of all equipment in the Material Handling System
  • Ensure all machines do not run out of material - change Gaylord in a timely manner
  • Perform colour changes on production runs
  • Remove empty and partial Gaylords and skids at end of the shift and/or upon a tool change
  • Clean dryer; blender and material handling pump filters every shift
  • Communicate with following shift Material Handler (i.e. Material handling issues, etc.)
  • May be required to work overtime when necessary
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
  • Comply with the requirements of C-TPAT/PIP
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF16949 standards
  • Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
  • Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications:
EDUCATION:

  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma


EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced lift truck operator, valid Fork Lift Operator License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in moulding/assembly
  • Experience in automotive industry an asset


SKILLS:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate in MS Word and spreadsheet programs
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills
