Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead and support HR initiatives that align with our organization’s growth and objectives. This hands-on role involves working closely with the leadership team and HR department to implement best practices, foster a positive culture, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations:
    • Ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes, including employee orientation and exit interviews.
    • Provide HR support for promotions, transfers, and terminations, adhering to policies and principles.
    • Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits, and compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment laws. 
  2. Employee Engagement and Culture:
    • Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, recognition, and alignment with organizational values.
    • Administer and enhance programs such as culture surveys, recognition programs, and recreational activities to support internal equity and competitiveness.
  3. Talent Management:
    • Facilitate training programs and performance management processes to drive employee development.
    • Support supervisors and leadership in performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  4. Compliance and Policy Facilitation:
    • Facilitate and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
    • Anticipate and address emerging trends, issues, and risks to maintain a positive and compliant work environment.
  5. Strategic Contributions:
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
    • Provide insights through HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  6. Special Projects:
    • Support key HR projects such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration, employee engagement surveys, and workforce planning initiatives.
    • Manage company-wide events and programs that enhance employee morale and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is an asset.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership in a global, high-growth organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment laws and payroll systems.
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior leaders and building relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in HR technology platforms (e.g., ADP, HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated success in driving culture-building initiatives and fostering employee engagement.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
  • Experience in the travel or tourism industry is an asset.
