Reporting to the Manager, Compensation and Benefits, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical and analytical support in the administration of the Company’s compensation and benefits programs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support global compensation administration activities including the annual compensation review and short-term incentive program by performing various calculations and preparing required reporting
  • Support global benefits administration by reviewing and preparing reports on eligibility, participation, employer and employee contributions and various periodic compliance reports
  • Assist in the preparation of the HR Budget and corporate compensation budget: consolidate data from various sources, prepare submissions for Finance, reconcile compensation and headcount data
  • Collect and analyze data, create and reconcile various HR analytical reports from Workday or payroll on a monthly, quarterly, and annual cycle
  • Support the data integrity maintained in the Human Resources Management System, Workday HCM through regular audits
  • Develop customized reports, data extracts and statistical analysis of workforce data for HR management
  • Assist in the administration of the Employee Share Purchase Plan and long-term incentive programs (RSU, PSU etc.): enrollments, departures, reports
  • Perform job evaluations using the job evaluation tool and determine appropriate level and classification
  • Perform various compensation analyses for the annual pay equity reports and support the pay equity exercise through data collection and analysis
  • Participate in and support total rewards projects such as incentives review/redesign, job evaluations, pay structure reviews, policy updates etc.
  • Respond to a wide range of ad-hoc compensation and benefits information requests
  • This role will work closely with other teams in Human Resources and Finance

Education and Experience required

  • University Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance)
  • A minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience in areas such as Compensation, Benefits, Total Rewards, People Analytics or Payroll

Qualifications, Certification, Designation

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including manipulation of large, complex Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in Workday HCM considered an asset
  • Analytical experience, facility working with numbers, strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify trends.
  • General knowledge of HR processes and data, and their integration across HR (payroll, compensation, benefits)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in reporting
  • Capability to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Advanced communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and work to deadlines

  • The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain a Reliability Clearance
