About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented HR Intern to join our People team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various HR functions, including HR operations, recruitment, employer branding, and total rewards. In this role, you will participate in meaningful projects that will have a lasting impact on the organization and learn in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that is eager to learn, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
As a HR intern Starburst you will:
- Organize, coordinate, and manage our monthly employee learning series, ensuring engaging content and smooth execution
- Assist with the planning and coordinating of employee events
- Compile and organize HR frequently asked questions into structured and accessible documentation
- Document job architecture and career progression path resources for employees
- Assist in planning, creating, and managing employer branding content across various platforms
- Develop nurture campaigns to attract and recruit passive talent and strengthen our employer branding
- Build a creative, inclusive, and engaging job description template to be used across all departments.
- Develop clear and concise documentation of our company perks and benefits for candidates interviewing with Starburst
- Identify potential candidate pipeline for engineering and sales roles
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR system
- Assist in processing employee status changes and other HR transactions
- Assist the HR team with ad-hoc projects as needed to ensure the success of Starburst
Some of the things we look for:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- High degree of personal ownership and accountability; motivated, meticulously organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Curiously about how the various functions within HR operate and support overall business objectives

Starburst is dedicated to maintaining fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range provided for this role reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates across all U.S. locations and could be inclusive of variable compensation, such as commission or bonus. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering. Actual compensation packages are determined based on relevant skills, experience, education and training, and specific work location.
