1. OWN TALENT ACQUISITION
- Design roles around results.
- Build a recruiting machine that pulls in top-tier performers
- Run onboarding that creates loyalty, clarity, and momentum from Day 1
2. SCALE CULTURE & PEOPLE STRATEGY
- Translate business priorities into people strategy
- Shape and protect the culture by design. not default
- Run engagement rhythms (surveys, stay interviews, action plans) and act fast on
- feedback
3. BUILD SYSTEMS, NOT FLUFF
- Write HR policies that get read — and followed
- Keep us clean and compliant with employment law
- Maintain our HRIS and people data — accurate, real-time.
4. DRIVE PERFORMANCE
- Install simple, sharp performance cycles with measurable results
- Coach managers to lead. not manage
- Build L&D opportunities and encourage participation that are tied to create ROI.
5. OPTIMIZE COMP & BENEFITS
- Benchmark and recommend comp bands that attract and retain
- Keep benefits relevant, lean, and valued
- Design a total rewards approach that evolves with scale
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- 5+ years in HR, preferably in fast-growth tech/startup environments
- Mastery of Canadian employment law and modern HR practices
- Proven builder: you’ve created systems from scratch and scaled them
- Strong communicator, calm under pressure, grounded in outcomes
- CHRP or CHRL designation
