Job Summary
This team leads the digital hardware development of next-generation wireless base station radios, delivering advanced multi standard RF and digital hardware solutions for 6G, 5G, LTE, W CDMA, and GSM networks deployed by leading mobile operators worldwide. This role focuses on radio development engineering, including digital hardware design, radio integration, and verification, and is based at the Ericsson R&D center in Ottawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, integration, and verification of new multi standard radio platforms, encompassing both early-stage design activities and downstream hardware integration and validation. Verification is performed in a laboratory environment using a combination of automated and manual test methods. The candidate will work under the guidance of a team leader and line manager.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of digital hardware for radio products as part of the digital hardware design team
- Support the definition of verification specifications and the development of verification test cases
- Troubleshoot and help resolve issues identified during hardware integration and verification
- Collaborate with team members on software and hardware integration activities in HW and SW laboratory environments
- Perform hands-on subsystem- and system-level verification of delivered functionality
- Review design specifications, schematics, verification documentation, and PCB layout implementations

Preferred Qualification and Experience Requirements
- Student in B.Sc. or M. Sc. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields. Preferably 3rd and 4th year students.
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, Master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
