JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


We are looking for an experienced Implementation Specialist to exceed our customers' expectations. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working directly with our utility customers to implement cutting-edge enterprise applications.


The Implementation Specialist will be responsible for the following:

Implementation

  • Reviewing business requirements and preparing test scenarios.
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of software implementations to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Design and develop detailed test cases based on implementation requirements and specifications. Ensure test cases cover all functional and non-functional aspects of the software, including edge cases and error scenarios.
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating UAT activities with end-users. Provide guidance and support to users during UAT sessions, ensuring that their feedback is effectively captured and addressed.
  • Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the system testing carried out and reporting to the project team.
  • Assist project management team in continuous improvement efforts to optimize our implementation methodologies
  • Work with development and dev-ops teams to influence, design, and validate solutions

Documentation

  • Assist in the creation of customer-specific testing documents
  • Document issues encountered during testing and acceptance phases 
  • Maintain project-related documentation including issues logs, configuration guides and test cases
  • Maintain and enhance knowledgebase of internal best practices 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar would be a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of relational databases & SQL in particular

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to present information clearly and concisely

  • Confidence to work independently and interpersonal skills to work as a member of internal and external teams
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with an emphasis on making decisions quickly and effectively
  • Comprehensive understanding of implementation methodologies of complex software implementations
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of utility industries - electric, water, wastewater, gas, telecommunications, sanitation, and others
