Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
- Quickly develops proof-of-concepts and scale them into large solutions.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Ability to design, architect, and implement applications on public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, Lex, Lambda, KMS (Data Security), S3, and Kinesis.
- Proficient in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Jules, and version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
- Experience in debugging, maintaining, monitoring, and providing production support in large environments using tools like Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with container orchestration and deployment in AWS Cloud.
- Experience in building and supporting RESTful APIs.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- AWS certification is highly desirable
- Eagerness to expand knowledge in infrastructure engineering, data fluency, and automation
- Knowledge of voice technologies (WebRTC), Amazon Connect, call recording, and telephony platforms is a significant advantage.
