Description

We’re growing and looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative - SLED who embodies our core values: People First, Customer Obsession, Strive for Excellence, and Integrity.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth by engaging with government agencies and educational institutions to promote our cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

As an Inside Sales Representative - SLED, Your impact will be:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities within the SLED sector, targeting state and local government agencies, K-12, and higher education institutions.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and cold calling to generate new leads, qualify opportunities and nurture existing relationships.
  • Partner with field sales representatives to develop and execute territory plans for SLED accounts.
  • Understand the unique procurement processes and compliance requirements within the SLED market.
  • Provide product demonstrations and technical overviews to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and government regulations impacting cybersecurity in the SLED sector.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.



Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • 3+ years of inside sales experience, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Experience selling to SLED customers, with an understanding of government procurement processes and contract vehicles.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and sales engagement platforms.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for helping public sector organizations improve their cybersecurity posture.

Expected base compensation for the role is between $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 + commission. This is a good faith estimate but does not include equity, bonus, or other forms of payment. Pay will be by experience level, but those outside the salary band are welcome to apply.
