How You Will Contribute:
In this role we are looking for an experienced software test engineer to join the software design team as an integration test engineer. The primary responsibility is to act as a bridge between the software designers and product verification engineers and ensure that new features are tested well by the design team before product verification starts. This requires the ability to understand the feature requirements and the software architecture and design as well as to be able to help debug issues as software components are initially integrated together and tested.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases which play a key role in ensuring the quality of critical optical networks utilizing the WaveLogic product

You will be accountable for managing individual project priorities, assignments, and timelines.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with multi-functional teams of developers, UX designers, product verification teams & release managers.
The Must Haves:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

Ability to create and execute manual and automated test cases.

Experience testing real-time embedded systems
-
Familiarity with test automation tools and environments
-
Experience working with various network interfaces to communicate with test equipment such as Serial, USB, Ethernet

Familiarity with test and network equipment command line languages such as vendor specific APIs, CLI, YANG, and OpenConfig

Proven debugging skills

Passion for improving product quality through testing.

Pay Range:
The annual pay range for this position, in Ottawa, is $93,600.00 - $149,400.00.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
