Role Description
- The Global Tech Philanthropy program provides opportunities for tech employees to share their highly specialized skills and expertise within their local communities. As part of Technology’s Chief Operating Office, the Global Tech Philanthropy Technical Support Specialist will help the Technical Lead to execute on projects including notably Pro Bono engagement technical reviews and team support, management of tooling used within the team, and administration of the team’s Salesforce instance, including customization.
Primary Role:
- Manage existing risk with the growing tech for good portfolio by:
- Providing oversight of all technical aspects of the tech pro bono program, Tech Change Makers, by:
- Participate in end-to-end review of project scope, delivery timelines, and technical aspects of existing and new Tech Pro Bono Partnership Agreements.
- Help driving migration of relevant code to open-source through MS GitHub OSS process.
- Contribute to providing ad hoc technical support to pro bono projects struggling to deliver on key deliverables to external charitable stakeholders, preventing risk to brand.
- Providing technical support of Codeathons for Good suite by:
- Working on vendor product integrations.
- Provide technical support to local hackathon Core Teams as they scope technical challenges with nonprofit partners.
- Support Tech Philanthropy’s and Tech COO’s global program initiatives and identify areas of technical automation or risk mitigation.
- Maintain a strong understanding of how technology can help social good organizations address operational challenges and enable them to better drive their missions
- Leverage programs, processes, and stakeholder interactions to drive an atmosphere of inclusivity and belonging in alignment to Firmwide Diversity and Inclusion goals.
Skills Required:
- Ideally you will have 2-4 years of experience in within IT Technology.
- Experience in the likes of Python or equivalent language; experience with technologies such as Git, Cloud, React/Angular, Salesforce.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to digest and explain complex problems to different types of audiences with varied technical skills.
- Passion for and/or experience in philanthropy and volunteerism, technology for social good, corporate social responsibility best practices, and the nonprofit community.
- Creative, resourceful, and capacity to grasp new technologies concepts quickly.
- Team player with experience collaborating with global, virtual teams.
- Proficient in French
