This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa Assembly on a full-time basis.The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Engineering Change Release Coordinator to join our Global Supply Chain team at the Oshawa Assembly plant. In this role, you will manage, track, and coordinate engineering changes that impact materials, parts, and processes for light duty and heavy full size truck assembly. Acting as a key liaison between various stakeholders, you will ensure seamless change management across the supply chain and production teams.What You'll Do Manage and track all engineering changes, maintaining accurate and detailed records.Coordinate part number changes and revise breakpoint dates with engineering teams, suppliers, other assembly plants, and other various other stakeholders.Maintain the ECR database and generate detailed change reports.Lead weekly engineering change meetings to provide updates and track progress.Collaborate with design and program engineering teams to validate change requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.Monitor and resolve specification issues and updates in a timely manner.Develop and maintain subassembly part numbers used for service and scrap.Conduct specification comparisons during major changes (e.g., model year transitions) involving large datasets.Initiate and manage Electronic Plan for Change Management requests.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Diploma / Bachelors degree in a related field and/or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or related field.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of time-sensitive tasks.Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers and internal teams.Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Proficiency in managing large datasets and performing data analysis.Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex systems and processes.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with Access is a plus.What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)Knowledge of automotive supply chains and material flow.Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.Familiarity with GM systems and processes, such as MGO, ECM, and GDPS.Experience with GM specifications, releases, and engineering change requests.Proficiency in VBA, with the ability to write and modify macros.GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
