The NI IP TEC Engineer is a highly skilled technical expert responsible for mastering the supported products, from low-level implementation details to application-level behaviors. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving expertise, and the ability to confidently represent and advocate for the product in various technical discussions.
 

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical interface to regional TACs, Customer Account Teams, Business Units, R&D, and Product Management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex product installation and performance issues using established methods and creative solutions.
  • Track, document, and report problem status, resolutions, and system reliability findings.
  • Stay current on new product features and releases through ongoing engagement with R&D and Product Management.
  • Support test/evaluations, NPIs, and network architecture initiatives; develop internal/external tools and conduct customer workshops.
  • Coordinate customer upgrade programs; create technical notes and field alerts; provide global 24/7 emergency support.
  • Lead beta product knowledge delivery and collaborate with regional centers to develop release workshops for internal teams.
  • Travel up to 10% annually as required.
Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experiences
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to drive customer calls.
  • Strong analytical and hands-on experience in troubleshooting software or network problems.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols, IP/MPLS protocols, L2/L3 EVPNs, Spine/Leaf data center architecture, etc.

It would be nice if you also have:

  • Certifications such as SRC, CCNA/CCNP, and/or JNCIA/JNCIS
  • Nokia products experience (e.g., 7750SR, 7250 IXR, VSR, SRLINUX, FSS/EDA)
  • Experience with a scripting language, i.e., XML, and Python
  • Experience with Cloud solutions (Linux, KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes)
  • Previous Nokia intern or co-op experience.
