Samsung is looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join the Samsung Cloud Engineering team. You will build and support Samsung’s cloud infrastructure and to help shape the architecture and ensure reliability of our global internal and customer-facing external services. You will have the support of team to succeed and make impacting contributions to the organization.

Role and Responsibilities

About the Role

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of technology used to deliver Samsung's global services
  • Learn to Install, administer and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure
  • Build, deploy and maintain reliable, robust and scalable systems for business services
  • Research, design and build tools develop solutions to improve our efficiency
  • Help local and global teams successfully implement and integrate cloud technologies
  • Work with your mentor and senior team members to guide your learning and development
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, using a follow-the-sun model

About You

  • A strong combination of technical experience, hands-on keyboard capability, technical leadership experience, and ability to learn fast in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Cloud Environments such AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Expertise with Linux system administration, networking and security, ideally in a Cloud environment
  • Hands-on experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration technology such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, Node, Java or GO
  • Expertise with modern CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, Circle-CI, Github Actions
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of cloud monitoring and troubleshooting skills
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies

Nice to have

  • Building & deploying pipelines for data flow, processing & storage
  • Knowledge of data engineering components and data architecture best practices
  • Experience with relational & No-SQL database technologies

Skills and Qualifications

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $73,440 to $95,040 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.

The total rewards package for a Regular Full-Time employee may include variable incentive, savings matching (RRSP/TFSA/NRSP), extended health and dental benefits with spending accounts, wellness and well-being benefits, development opportunities, and other employee perks.
