As a Junior Account Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will be an integral part of our sales team, providing essential support to senior account managers in nurturing client relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and contributing to the development of robust sales strategies. This role offers a dynamic and highly collaborative environment where you will assist with account planning, facilitate seamless customer communication, and coordinate various aspects of the sales process including involvement of outside events all while gaining valuable experience in the energy sector.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Supporting Senior Account Managers: Provide comprehensive assistance to senior colleagues across various tasks, including account management, pipeline management and administration as RFP, quotes, and other sales activities focused to cultivate of strong customer relationships.

  • Identifying New Sales Leads: Actively participate in the identification of new business opportunities within the utility segments including distribution, generation and transmission.

  • Assisting in Sales Planning: Contribute meaningfully to the development of sales strategies, detailed account plans, and accurate sales forecasts.

  • Customer Communication: Support Senior Account Managers as per need basis on customer inquiries, maintaining consistent and proactive communication with clients to ensure high satisfaction and promptly address any issues while ensuring proper alignment with Sr Account Managers.

  • Sales Process Coordination: Assist in coordinating a wide range of sales activities, including the logistics and development of proposals with our inside sales team, ensuring the customers needs are captured in our offering, and efficient order processing.

  • Market Research: Participate in thorough market research initiatives to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and new opportunities for Hitachi Energy's innovative products and services.

  • Building Relationships: Actively contribute to building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Learning and Development: Seize the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, continuously developing your skills in sales, account management, and gaining deeper expertise in the energy sector.

Your background

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential for effective client and internal interactions.

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely related field.

  • Sales Experience: up to 2 years sales or business development in Ontario customers, ideally within the energy sector.

  • Technical Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the energy industry and a basic familiarity with Hitachi Energy's products and services.

  • Results Orientation: Must be a driven, hands on and resourceful results-oriented individual with proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
