As a Junior UX/UI Product Designer, you will craft experiences for over 8 million K-12 students, helping them reach their potential. You are passionate about design, committed to continuous learning, and proficient in tools like Figma and AI-powered design tools.
You have up to 2 years of experience as a recent graduate or self-taught designer. You actively strive for self-improvement and self-knowledge.
Collaborative and open-minded, you iterate based on constructive feedback from peers, students, and stakeholders. You proactively seek guidance to create the best design solutions.
You are a curious problem solver who simplifies complexity. You ask insightful questions and use keen observational and reasoning skills to analyze problems thoroughly before execution.
Joining Xello’s agile product experience team, you will collaborate with designers, content creators, researchers, and developers to create innovative educational products.

What you’ll do…
- Create rapid iterations of high-fidelity prototypes in collaboration with other designers and product colleagues.
- Synthesize user and business requirements into compelling product experiences.
- Work with cross-functional teams to continuously update and improve designs based on research insights and stakeholder feedback.
- Continuously offer design feedback and guidance to engineering teams during all stages of the software development lifecycle.
What we’re looking for…
- Up to 2 years of experience
- A portfolio of web and/or mobile product design work
- Experience with Figma or other industry-standard tools, including AI-powered design tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A keen attention to detail and passion for user insights
- Skilled at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

The compensation range for this role is $63,000 to $78,000 CAD. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise, as assessed during the interview process.
