Responsibilities:- Manage sales, profitability, market share, trade investment, and execution for assigned strategic retail accounts, owning and managing the full P&L.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while acting as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute customer plans and Joint Business Plans aligned with customer priorities and Company commercial objectives.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across retail and e-commerce, including distribution, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and innovation.
- Lead pricing, promotion, merchandising, distribution, and trade investment negotiations to support profitable growth and customer alignment.
- Develop and maintain accurate customer forecasts and demand plans, partnering with Demand Planning to improve service levels, inventory performance, and risk visibility. Monitor customer inventory positions, order patterns, pricing, competitive activity, and replenishment trends to proactively manage performance.
- Analyze sales, POS, market, inventory, replenishment, promotional, and financial data to identify opportunities, risks, and recommended actions. Leverage customer, market, syndicated, and point-of-sale data to support strategic planning, selling stories, and fact-based business recommendations.
- Own annual trade and promotional plans, optimizing investments to maximize ROI and profitability.
- Conduct customer and internal business reviews with clear insights, implications, and recommendations.
- Partner with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, and brokers to support launches, promotions, customer commitments, and growth initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
- Home office located in or near Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with the ability to travel to Walmart approximately twice per month. Other travel as business needs require (customer meetings, business reviews, market visits, and industry events within Canada and the United States).
- 2+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, Category Management, Customer Business Development, or related CPG commercial roles.
- Proven success managing major retail accounts, with Walmart being the strongest preference. Related accounts may include Costco, Loblaw, DIY, Grocery, Club, or other national retail customers. Experience working with national and/or global accounts and cross-functional internal teams preferred. Established understanding of the customer environment, categories, routes-to-market, competitive landscape, and retailer operating models.
- Experience managing forecasting, trade investment, customer negotiations, promotional planning, and customer business reviews.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with customer portals and analytics tools such as Luminate/Scintilla or Retail Link, Costco Vendor Portal, NielsenIQ, Circana, and PAWA.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship-management, and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen; able to interpret sales, POS, market, inventory, promotional, and P&L data to make fact-based recommendations, with demonstrated ability to manage a customer P&L.
- Critical, analytical, strategic, and creative thinker who can think on their feet and develop solutions when challenges arise. Highly organized, results-driven, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with urgency and accountability.
