About Nomic Bio

Nomic Bio is transforming the way biology is measured. Our nELISA platform is the world’s highest throughput proteomic platform, built from DNA nanotechnology, high-dimensional flow cytometry, laboratory automation, and machine learning. With the ability to process over 2.5 million samples annually and deliver 500 million protein assays, Nomic is setting a new standard for protein profiling. Since our spin-out from McGill University, more than 50 pharmaceutical companies have adopted nELISA, generating over 40 million protein data points from 400,000 samples.

Recently, we launched a groundbreaking 1000-plex proteomics platform—an unprecedented leap forward in translational biology. Backed by strong funding, major pharma partnerships, and pre-IPO momentum, we are scaling rapidly while retaining the energy of a startup.

About the Role

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive expansion across leading pharmaceutical organizations in drug discovery and translational biomarkers. This is a strategic, high-impact commercial role blending technical acumen with enterprise-level account leadership. You will own and grow key accounts, developing deep relationships with executive stakeholders while ensuring technical credibility with bench-level scientists.

You will act as the primary point of contact for major Pharma accounts, leading cross-functional sales cycles, shaping account strategies, and unlocking new opportunities. This position requires equal parts technical fluency, consultative selling, and strategic enterprise management.

Why This Role Matters

  • Lead expansion of major pharmaceutical accounts, including existing high-value partnerships.

  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders (VPs, Directors, Heads of Translational Science/Biomarkers) to advance adoption of proteomic solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted partner, aligning Nomic’s platform capabilities with critical customer needs in drug discovery and translational research.

  • Coordinate with internal technical and scientific teams to deliver customer success and ensure long-term account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own and expand relationships with top pharmaceutical accounts, developing and executing account-specific strategies.

  • Prospect and engage new customers within the biopharma space, generating net-new business.

  • Lead high-level conversations with senior executives while also delivering technical presentations to scientific teams.

  • Manage complex sales cycles, balancing strategic enterprise penetration with shorter transactional opportunities.

  • Provide scientific and commercial insights that influence customer decision-making and adoption of proteomic technologies.

  • Partner closely with internal Field Application Scientists, Technical Sales Managers, and Product teams to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Represent Nomic at key industry and academic conferences as both a business and technical commercial lead.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting through CRM and funnel management.

About You

  • Experience: 5+ years in technical or strategic sales within Pharma/Biotech, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Background: Strong scientific foundation (MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field preferred).

  • Commercial Skills: Enterprise-level selling experience with Big Pharma, ideally within proteomics, biomarkers, or drug discovery technology.

  • Technical Fluency: Ability to credibly discuss proteomic use cases in drug discovery, translational biomarkers, and clinical development.

  • Network: Established relationships across Translational Biomarkers, Target Discovery, and Clinical Biomarkers functions strongly preferred.

  • Sales Style: Proactive, consultative, and strategic, with the ability to influence decision-makers across scientific and executive levels.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel ~50% as needed.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based commissions.

  • Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision).

  • Equity participation (pre-IPO).

  • Opportunities for professional growth in a high-impact, fast-scaling environment.

  • A collaborative culture that values scientific excellence, creativity, and bold commercial execution.
