The Role:


We are looking for a motivated, data driven, results oriented finance professional who will partner with various stakeholders to drive outcomes and support our teams to achieve their goals. The Strategic Finance & Operations Manager will provide strategic financial guidance to support decision-making and contribute to the successful execution of our growth initiatives.


The overall purpose of the Strategic Finance and Operations (SFO) team is to steer the company toward its goals. The SFO team are true strategic business partners and help each department delve deeper into current operational issues and create an action plan through strategic analysis. The SFO team is ideally situated to identify key interdependencies and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, yield and strategic advantage. There is tremendous potential for SFO to perpetually create value for Deputy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end monthly forecasts by collaborating with the x-functional SFO team. Responsible for detailed variance analysis and preparation of financial reports to provide actionable insights for senior management
  • Contribute to preparation of reporting for Board of Directors meetings
  • Work with the x-functional SFO team to provide the senior executive team with timely analysis and insightful guidance on the company’s performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly) 
  • Assist with the annual operating planning and budgeting processes ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives. Develop scalable templates for departmental inputs to streamline budgeting processes
  • Assist with development of quantitative and qualitative analysis, key metrics and trends. Provide benchmarking analysis 
  • Support ad-hoc projects with financial analysis and business case development, providing feedback to leadership
  • Support corporate-wide initiatives (i.e. cloud spend reporting and optimization)
  • Develop processes to streamline monthly forecasting processes
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess business performance, forecast future financial outcomes, and support strategic decision-making

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in analytical roles such as Investment Banking, Consulting, Strategic finance in a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Proven track record of building financial models and ad hoc analysis to distill complex problems into actionable insights, and present your insights to influence decisions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate large datasets, improving the understanding of the business.
