We're looking for a Lead Data Analyst to be the analytical engine that powers our portfolio intelligence. You'll be at the heart of our decision-making, transforming complex data from our games, players, and the market into clear, compelling stories that guide our strategy. This role goes beyond traditional analytics, where you will be a business intelligence architect who builds systems to surface insights automatically, identifies market opportunities, and translates data into strategic recommendations.

You'll partner with our Portfolio & Product Performance Lead and other central teams, helping us make smart investment decisions and find new opportunities for growth.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Telling compelling stories with data, translating your complex findings into clear narratives and supportive recommendations for our leadership and game teams, delivering integrated portfolio intelligence
  • Building forecasting models and scenario planning tools that help us look into the future and make well-informed investment and resource decisions looking at churn, sentiment shifts, and market trends
  • Crafting and deploying creative AI solutions that automatically bring together insights from diverse sources like game telemetry, community sentiment, and market data, leveraging LLMs for theme extraction from qualitative data at scale
  • Connecting deeply with our players by performing thoughtful analyses on player behavior, cohort performance, and cross-game trends to help us make our games even more fun
  • Partnering with teams across Rovio to share knowledge, tools, and best practices, ensuring we provide aligned insight across the organisation
  • Maintaining and evolving our KPI frameworks and performance dashboards, making sure they provide understandable and accessible intelligence for everyone

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Extensive professional experience as a senior data analyst, preferably in a free to play mobile business (over 5 years as a senior)
  • Excellence in SQL and Python or R, including experience automating analytics processes using programming languages and relevant tools
  • A degree that gives theoretical foundations and practical skills for data processing and statistical analysis, or solid evidence of similar capacity via self learning
  • Comprehensive experience with BI tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, or Looker needed to create insightful and easy-to-understand visualizations and dashboards
  • Solid understanding of quantitative analysis and A/B testing
  • Compassionate and clear communicator, capable of sharing complex findings with people from all backgrounds in a clear and engaging way
  • Lived experience of taking the lead on impactful projects and discussions with senior stakeholders

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Previous experience in a free-to-play mobile gaming business
  • Success in using AI to provide actionable and helpful insights
  • Familiarity with advertising metrics
