As the Lead Growth Product Manager, you’ll be front and center working with your team to drive the vision, strategy, and execution for activation, retention, and expansion. You’ll partner with engineering, design, marketing, data science, and sales to build and optimize the growth engine for a ~$2B+ public company.

This role follows a hybrid working model in our New York City office, or can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States.

What you'll do
  • Execute the product-led growth strategy for MongoDB Atlas, setting and exceeding ambitious goals for retention, activation, and expansion
  • Lead cross-functional pods across Engineering, Design, and Data Science to deliver high-impact growth initiatives, including onboarding, self-service upgrades, and audience shifts
  • Mentor and guide Product Managers to think broadly and creatively about the customer journey, instilling a culture of innovation and strategic problem-solving
  • Analyze user data and funnel metrics to uncover friction points, identify opportunities, and prioritize experiments that drive measurable outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Data Science, with visibility up to the executive level
  • Own the roadmap for growth features and optimizations, balancing quick wins with long-term strategic investments
  • Build consensus and rally support for cross-product growth initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams and leadership
What we look for
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing and developing Product Managers
  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • Background in engineering (computer science, electrical, or software)
  • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-year projects from inception to delivery
  • Experience crafting innovative growth strategies that expand market reach and build long-term product differentiation
  • Ability to understand developer needs and deliver seamless onboarding, education, and product experiences
  • Experience leading on-time delivery across Product, Design, and Sales while demonstrating strong ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex product ideas, rally teams, and evangelize new growth initiatives across the org
  • Data-driven and business-minded with the ability to understand why products resonate with customers and how to measure long-term impact
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify insights, uncover opportunities, and translate findings into actionable strategies
  • Experience building programmatic product experiences with a deep understanding of developer-centric requirements, including IAM, integrations, and automation use cases
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-functioning team environment and to developing future leaders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change, with a strong focus on process and efficiency

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$140,000$275,000 USD
