Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SRE to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services with a focus on global load balancing. You will work with a team of engineers in implementing best practices for global load balancing, site reliability, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of global load balancing solutions to optimize application performance and availability.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Citrix NetScaler for application delivery and traffic management.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of services and infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Utilize private and public cloud services to build and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Employ tools such as Consul for service discovery and configuration management.
  • Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Develop strategies for monitoring system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in global load balancing strategies and technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services and architecture.
  • Familiarity with Consul for service discovery and configuration.
  • Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Citrix NetScaler configuration and management.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
  • Certifications in AWS or relevant technologies are a plus.
