Overview
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

We want to hire a lead developer that is eager to have significant influence on a massive technology overhaul using nothing but the best products, patterns, and practices!
We believe in decoupled, message-driven, and distributed systems. We strive to keep codebases small and manageable. We’re interested in reactive design patterns that will make our systems more resilient and responsive yet remain elastic to change. As we proceed through our technology roadmap we are evaluating new community endorsed technologies for every tier of our platform. Our backend tiers are presently JVM-based. We are using or considering technologies like Kafka, Spring Boot, Angular, Bootstrap, REST, Chef, Terraform, Openstack, Azure, Elasticsearch, NoSQL, Docker and so on.
Role
• Implement enterprise quality standards, tools, and build control strategies.
• Collaborate with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules.
• Work with Program Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Software Engineering Managers to translate product use cases into high-quality designs and implementations.
• Manage large projects or initiatives as an individual contributor or lead a segment of multiple initiatives; may also supervise a QA team and assign day-to-day tasks.
• Mentor peers and guide less experienced team members.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, TDD, and BDD methodologies to software testing.
• Analyze application logs and assist engineers with debugging.
• Contribute to grooming and prioritizing stories related to non-functional requirements, baseline software stacks, and critical domain features.
• Communicate risks and design trade-offs to leadership team.
• Ensure high code quality through effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Participate in product kick-offs and requirement workshops to provide direction, identify technology feasibility, and assess resource needs.
• Contribute to talent acquisition activities.
All About You
• Experience in automation testing using any of the tool like REST Assured, JBehave, TestNG, JMeter, mobile automation tools
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong background across the software testing lifecycle: test planning, design, execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Expertise in Functional, Regression, System, and UAT testing.
• Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Expertise in TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Lean).
• Experience testing enterprise-level solutions, such as banking, payments, or service provider platforms.
• Experience working with development team of mobile/web application development, and internet-related cloud technology development.
• Proficient with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT required; Master's degree preferred.
