Description

At Jiffy, we’re revolutionizing the digital infrastructure for crafters by enhancing their physical and digital value chains. Our platform is designed to elevate the crafter economy, minimizing friction so that crafters can focus on their passion—creating. As we expand from our origins in t-shirts to a diverse range of projects and products, we’re looking for a visionary Lead UX Designer to unify our design approach and drive exceptional user experiences across our growing portfolio.

As the Lead UX Designer you will be pivotal in shaping the strategic direction and execution of our global design efforts. You’ll oversee all design aspects for our product and brand surfaces, ensuring consistency and innovation as we introduce new products and features. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, blending leadership with individual contribution. You will be responsible for building a cohesive design vision, establishing effective systems and processes, and mentoring a talented team of designers.

Candidate must be located in Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the UX strategy to align with Jiffy’s vision and business goals.
  • Create and maintain a unified design language across all products and services to ensure a consistent and compelling brand presence.
  • Lead the UX team in developing and executing high-quality, user-centered designs.
  • Drive design innovation by creating and refining concepts, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Mentor, manage, and support a growing team of designers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate UX best practices into product development.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and branding teams to drive brand awareness and enhance customer engagement through effective design solutions.
  • Oversee user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  •  Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve user experience and drive business growth.
  •  Develop and implement design processes and standards to ensure efficient and effective execution.
  •  Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
  •  5+ years of experience in a 0-1 environment, with a proven track record of leading and managing a design team.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with product teams, including engineers and product managers, to develop user-centered solutions.
  •  Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, design thinking, and UX principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • An outstanding portfolio showcasing sophisticated conceptual thinking, strong visual design, and process work including sketches, mood boards, and other preliminary design artifacts.
  • Experience applying design principles to growth strategies, including email communications, marketing websites, and customer retention efforts.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful design solutions.
Benefits
  • Generous compensation and employer paid benefits (Medical, Vision and Dental)
  • Annual wellness and professional development stipend
  • Perks of getting lots of clothing!
