ABOUT THE ROLESpellbook is looking for a Legal Solutions Expert to serve as our in-house legal expert and product strategist. This is a unique opportunity for a transactional lawyer who wants to step beyond the billable hour and into a high-impact role at the intersection of legal practice, product design, and sales enablement.
You’ll work closely with our Product and Sales teams to ensure Spellbook solves the real-world challenges faced by lawyers. Your background in transactional law—especially if you’ve seen both sides of the table (private practice and in-house)—will enable you to bridge the gap between legal workflows and technical execution.

RESPONSIBILITIESTranslate real-world transactional workflows into actionable product features and enhancements.
Participate in feature discovery, development and testing, translating customer insights into clear product requirements.
Join sales calls, demos, and RFPs as a legal expert. Help CSMs improve adoption through training and tailored guidance.
Develop playbooks and training materials for in-house legal teams. Transform these into refined product training packs, comprehensive documentation, and impactful thought-leadership content.
Represent Spellbook in webinars, CLE sessions, and industry events, showcasing your legal expertise and our product leadership.
Support with other responsibilities and projects as required.
A qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of transactional experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure.
Deep familiarity with contract negotiation, drafting, and review workflows.
An understanding of Large Language Models the modern AI landscape
A natural self-starter with strong product instincts—you’re excited to build, iterate, and drive things forward without waiting for a playbook.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, sales teams, and external customers.
Strong communicator with experience presenting to legal and business audiences (bonus points if you’ve led CLEs or training).
Experience working with or at a legal tech or SaaS company.
Familiarity with sales processes, RFPs, or customer enablement in a B2B setting.
Technical curiosity or experience working with product/engineering teams.
