We're proud to share our story and Make Amazing Happen at CDW. CDW is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial individual to lead our classroom technology and esports initiatives within CDW Education. This role focuses on audiovisual (AV) solutions, learning space design, and esports, while also supporting emerging education technologies such as virtual reality (VR), AI, and other innovations that enhance teaching and learning. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Education Impact, the Manager, Classroom Technology and Esports will develop and execute strategies that support sales, business development, marketing, and services teams. This individual will work alongside OEM partners, educators, and CDW stakeholders to create scalable, forward-thinking solutions that modernize learning spaces and help education institutions prepare for the future. This position requires deep knowledge of AV and classroom technology solutions, with a curiosity for specialty programs like esports, as well as emerging technologies and their impact on education. Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Strategic Leadership & Sales Enablement
* Lead engagement with key partner contacts across sales, marketing, business dev., and executive teams.
* Provide strategic oversight and recommendations for customer proposals and RFPs.
* Serve as a trusted advisor for CDW teams and customers, offering brand-agnostic expertise on AV, esports, classroom design, and emerging education technologies.
* Work with sales and marketing teams to promote and position Classroom Modernization and Emerging Technology offerings effectively.
* Track and report on performance metrics, build and maintain pipeline and present regularly to leadership on forecasting and results.
* Solution Expertise & Training
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of Classroom Modernization solutions, including:
* DVLED, projection and Interactive AV Technology
* Wireless Screen Sharing
* Control Systems
* Video Conferencing Solutions
* Furniture & Learning Space Design
* Esports Technology & Infrastructure
* Emerging Technologies in Education (VR, AI, interactive experiences, etc.)
* Develop and deliver training programs, sales enablement, and best practices for CDW teams and customers.
* Research and integrate emerging AV and education technologies into solution offerings where applicable.
* Customer Engagement & Market Development
* Establish and maintain relationships with education institutions, industry alliances, and OEM partners.
* Develop feedback systems to capture insights from school leaders and educators, ensuring solutions evolve based on real-world needs.
* Represent CDW at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to drive awareness and adoption of Classroom Modernization solutions.
* Operational & Performance Metrics
* Maintain a tracking system for partner initiatives, sales pipelines, and key performance indicators.
* Execute joint marketing programs, customer presentations, and in-market events.
* Ensure that CDW solutions align with long-term customer needs and strategic goals. Other Responsibilities:
* Stay up to date on education technology trends, including emerging innovations.
* Work closely with internal teams to support new product development, case studies, and go-to-market strategies.
* Develop sales tools, case studies, and pitch decks to effectively communicate value to customers.
* Support profit and revenue growth of classroom technology and esports within CDW Education.
* Participate in performance reviews, talent development, and company-wide initiatives.
* Travel up to 50% as required.
* Complete additional special projects as needed. Success Metrics:
* Revenue and profit growth for classroom technology and esports categories.
* Development of new strategic partnerships and customer adoption of CDW Education solutions.
* Increased engagement and participation in CDW Education and partner initiatives. Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in sales, solution sales, partner development.
* 3+ years in sales leadership/management with responsibility for monthly & quarterly targets and managing teams.
* Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Required Qualifications:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
* Strong strategic planning, organizational, and execution skills.
* In-depth knowledge of classroom technology solutions.
* The ability to implement solution-focused programs effectively.
* Prior program and people leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
* 3+ years of AV, Classroom Technology, or Emerging Education Technology experience.
* Familiarity with pipeline management and forecasting tools.
