About the Opportunity

As the Manager of Corporate Communications at TCX, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and implementing our communication strategies. Your role is pivotal, responsible for elevating our brand image, overseeing media relations, and fostering clear, consistent communication both internally and externally. This position offers an exciting opportunity to merge strategic PR initiatives with internal communication enhancements, driving both our external reputation and internal employee satisfaction.

This contract position covers a parental leave for 12 months. 

Job Duties

Leading the Communications Practice:

  • Serve as the central communications hub for TCX, aligning strategies with broader brand objectives.
  • Lead a team to develop and execute strategic PR, communications, and brand initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel on PR and communications to the C-Suite and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee external brand announcements, including message preparation, press release development, and media outreach.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets and facilitate media training for key executives.
  • Act as a company spokesperson as needed and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.

Evolving Internal Communications:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance internal communications, addressing employee concerns and improving satisfaction.
  • Utilize various communication tools to ensure timely and effective dissemination of information to employees.
  • Coordinate the creation, timing, and editing of internal communication content, maintaining consistency and relevance.

Managing Digital Platforms and Metrics:

  • Supervise the management of TCX's digital platforms to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics related to digital platform performance, using data to inform communication strategies and optimize engagement.

Quarterly Strategic Objectives and Budgeting:

  • Identify, plan, execute, and report on quarterly strategic objectives, aligning them with TCX's overarching goals.
  • Manage technology tools and vendor relationships to support communication initiatives effectively.
  • Lead budget forecasting efforts and ensure that activities remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Foster the development and growth of a team of 2 to 5 professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional advancement.

Qualifications Required

  • Post-secondary education in PR, corporate communications, journalism or related fields
  • Proven experience in progressively senior PR and communications roles
  • Strong understanding of media relations, crisis communication, and brand management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining media relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $105,500 to $124,100. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
